我认为是《毛选》。

要认识社会，尤其是要认识中国社会，就需要先看到社会的全貌，必须读《毛选》，结合新中国的发展才能慢慢理解到位。

比如《毛选》的第一篇讲的是社会阶层的划分。要认识社会，知道社会是分阶层的简直太重要了，知道了全貌，才能看懂细节。

上个世纪中国为什么需要革命，主要是社会阶层固化出大问题，贫富差距极大，富人人数极少，而穷人人数很多。少数富人可以住着洋楼喝着洋酒，而大量的穷人一遇灾荒要饿死，要卖儿卖女，整个社会如炼狱。

一个社会如果出了大问题，病根子在那里？在社会各阶层中，是那些利益集团阻碍了社会的发展？一般的书上根本不会写，但是在《毛选》中就有，明确的告诉我们在旧中国，买办集团和大地主阶级就是社会发展的阻碍。

买办集团是帝国主义在中国的代理人，帮助帝国主义打压中国的发展，要把中国沦为商品倾销地。地主阶级自己不劳动，靠掌握生产资料来过度的剥削穷人，压缩穷人的生存空间，让穷人永无翻身之日。既然是落后的集团，那肯定就要推翻才有出头之日。

《毛选》中还讲到了资产阶级，由于革命的不彻底性，一会儿要跟人民对着干，一会儿在面临帝国主义压迫的时候又想革命，所以资产阶级可以是革命的一股力量，但是领导革命不能靠资产阶级，还得靠无产阶级，靠TG。

了解了中国社会阶层在社会发展中的价值，对中国社会才会有基本的认识。
