开头先感谢一下审稿人：

In what follows, we would like to answer the questions you mentioned and give detailed account of the changes made to the original manuscript.

回复审稿意见时经常会遇到以下几种情况：

1. 审稿人让你引用某些文章。回复：Thank you for your introduction to these wonderful research work. According to your suggestion, we properly cite these articles as:
2. 审稿人挑了一些语法问题，并让你好好检查一下。回复：Thank you for your significant reminding. According to your suggestion, we corrected the above grammatical errors and made an effort to correct the spelling and grammar errors and polish the whole manuscript. We would like to confirm that the suitably revised manuscript is understandable to readers.

回复完所有意见后，最后再感谢一下审稿人：

Thank you again for your positive and constructive comments and suggestions on our manuscript.

We hope you will find our revised manuscript acceptable for publication.

点对点回复时首先感谢审稿人提的建议，由于意见较多，可以有以下几种感谢句式：

• Thanks for your valuable counsel.
• Thank you for pointing this out.
• Thank you for your significant reminding.

最后，上传修改稿时会给编辑写一封Cover letter （或者叫做Revision letter，或Resubmission letter），主要目的是向编辑说明我们做了哪些修改。

格式如下：

Dear Prof. 编辑的名字,

On behalf of my co-authors, we thank you very much for giving us an opportunity to revise our manuscript, we appreciate the reviewers very much for their positive and constructive comments and suggestions on our manuscript entitled “手稿标题”. (Manuscript ID: ####).

We study the comments carefully and make revision which we hope meet with approval.

According to the reviewers' comments,

1) We described the role of the *****.

2) We explained the ***.

The main revision in the paper and the response to the reviewers' comments are detailedly indicated in the attached file “Responses to comments”, and all changes are also highlighted in the attached PDF “marked-up version”.
