了解亚历山大大帝和他那个时代的希腊世界，可以阅读哪些史书？ 第1页

关于亚历山大的史料中，可信度最高的当属阿里安（Arrian）的《亚历山大远征记》（Anabasis）和FGrH（die Fragmente der Griechischen Historiker）中亚历山大御用史官Kallisthenes和内侍Chares von Mytilene留下的作品残篇。这几份史料我在另一个回答中提到过，可以参考下：

除了这些，有参考价值的史料还有普鲁塔克（Plutarch）的Lives和狄奥多罗斯（Diodoros）以及分散在各种collection里的古希腊碑铭。

“希腊化时期“的史料就更少了。唯一覆盖了整个时代的连贯记载来自狄奥多罗斯，除此之外还有阿里安Successors的残篇、记载从前二世纪开始的波利比乌斯（Polybius）以及大量引用了波利比乌斯已经遗失部分的李维（Livy）21-45卷。

这段时期的史料整体质量一言难尽，唯一覆盖整个时代的狄奥多罗斯不仅可信度不高，而且缺乏文采。如果不结合其他史料分析只会得出一系列从中世纪开始就遭到大量质疑的观点，外加来自“mindless copist“的无尽折磨……

所以个人还是推荐先读一些附带现代学者注解和评论的史料选辑，

Heckel, Waldemar. The Conquests of Alexander the Great. Cambridge University Press, 2012. （如果想读更多，直接去bibliography里找就行= =Waldemar本人几乎读遍了12年之前所有相关的学术著作，而且非常贴心地把这些书都列在“参考书目“里了）
